Community EMS crews and the Burnt Hills Fire Department are currently operating at a motor vehicle crash on Route 50 between Brookline Road and McCrea Hill Road.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and seek an alternate route. Please use caution and give emergency personnel room to work.

Another busy month is in the books for our dedicated providers. By the end of July, our team had responded to over 1,800 calls for service this year.

Beyond responding to emergencies, our crews were proud to support the community, including providing a dedicated ambulance at The Saratoga County Fair to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone attending. 🎡🚑

LEMONADE FOR A CAUSE! 🍋 The Ballston Spa Sunshine Kids will host their 6th Annual Lemonade Stand Benefit, a family-friendly fundraising event to support Olivia. She's a 12-year-old from the Saratoga area who is currently undergoing treatment for Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that affects less than 200 kids nationwide very year. Another successful week at The Saratoga County Fair is in the books! 🎡🚑

Throughout the week, we maintained a dedicated EMS crew on-site, providing coverage for the grandstand events and the thousands of fairgoers enjoying everything the fair had to offer.

With the hot temperatures, we worked alongside and supported the Fair EMS volunteers. Together, our crews responded to a variety of calls for assistance, ensuring patrons received the care they needed so everyone could enjoy a safe and memorable fair experience.

Thank you to the Fair EMS team, our dedicated members, and all of our public safety partners for another great week of service. We hope everyone had a fantastic time, and we’ll see you back at the fair next year!

📊 June Statistics & Mid-Year Update 🚑

June was a steady month for our crews, responding to 279 calls for service, resulting in 179 patient transports, and averaging over 9 calls per day.

At the halfway point of 2026, Community Emergency Corps has responded to 1,545 calls, involving 989 patient transports, and traveled more than 9,000 patient transport miles serving our communities.

Thank you to our dedicated crews for their continued commitment to providing exceptional care, and thank you to our community for your continued trust and support. Here's to a safe and healthy second half of the year! 💚

🇺🇸JOIN US TONIGHT (7/8/26) FOR A MOMENT OF HISTORY!🇺🇸

Tonight, Ballston Spa is part of something special. July 8 marks the 250th anniversary of the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence, which took place in Philadelphia on July 8, 1776. As part of the national “Sharing the Spirit of America” commemoration, the Saratoga County 250th Commission will hold a public reading of the Declaration right here in our Village.

The event takes place in front of the county building at 40 McMaster Street. Gather at 5:30 PM, with the reading beginning promptly at 6:00 PM and a cannon firing to follow. County officials and Revolutionary War reenactors will be on hand.

A few logistics: McMaster Street will be closed to through traffic, and our Village Police Department will be directing local residential traffic. Parking is available in the county’s Remsen Street and High Street lots. If it rains, the commemoration will move indoors to the Board of Supervisors Chamber.

I hope you’ll come out with your family and neighbors this evening. It’s a fitting way to mark 250 years of American independence, and I’m proud it’s happening in Ballston Spa.
