Can you believe it is almost the end of March?! Lots of things happening at Bally Community Ambulance Association. Membership and Donation drives went out on time. We have finally updated our old phone system so your calls will be easier to answer and lastly, we have added a Squad to our vehicles, helping us better serve the community. United Way of Boyertown Area is hosting a Yeti Bingo Event Sunday, Nov. 3rd. Their mission is to help improve the lives of others by mobilizing the caring power of our community and to conduct efficient community-wide fundraising which helps meet the community’s critical human health and services needs. Boyertown Community Ambulance Service honored two of our own for an amazing life saved. Thank you Jeff Ellick and Matt Swanson, it was a team effort with Boyertown Area Fire & Rescue, Jim Boyer and bystanders who helped save a life.

Congratulations to our very own EMT Keith Long who just passed Advanced EMT class! He is now a Nationally Registered Advanced EMT. He is also the Chief of Upper Perkiomen Valley Ambulance who works with us part time. We want to thank him for all his hard work and dedication to better serving our community!

Did you know it's international Firefighters Day?
Many of our providers are cross trained and are also firefighters! We cannot thank them enough for their service to the community. We appreciate their hard work and hundreds of hours they spend training. It does not go unnoticed. We included several pictures of some of our providers that are also firefighters!

Huge congratulations goes out to our very own EMT Lexi Thompson as she graduated nursing school from Reading School of Health Sciences tonight. This is an incredible achievement to be proud of. All of her hard work and determination while still working countless hours with us. She accepted an amazing job offer as a Cardiac ICU nurse at Lehigh Valley Hospital Network- Cedar Crest! We could not be any more proud of her!!

Last night members worked alongside of Eastern Berks Fire Department and Earl Township Vol. Fire Co. No.1. We went through different scenarios and practiced using difference patient extrication techniques that we went over last week. We are so proud to work along side a great group of firefighters!

Tonight we had training with Earl Township Vol. Fire Co. No.1 and Eastern Berks Fire Department to go over EMS operations and patient extrication techniques. We often need the help of the fire department to move a patient from a residence to the ambulance. Teamwork is what helps gets the job done safely!

Huge congratulations to our very own Captain Katie Groff on this high achievement. Saturday night Katie was honored as the outstanding First Responder of 2023 for the Boyertown Area. She is a huge asset to our company. She is not only a patient advocate but is also caring, outgoing, determined, knowledgeable and reliable. Pictured with her is her husband and 3 kids. And also our own EMT Lexi Thompson is pictured with her. Thank you to our own Lt Cody Whitfield for attending this event as well as a past recipient of this award.
