Every election is a change election – even in a state like Maryland, where political leaders become embedded in their jobs. Think about the last few:

In 2016, Baltimore City got a new mayor and several dynamic new City Council members and the state got two new members of Congress.

It’s a different strategy. But McCray, who recently donated money to Jealous, called him a different type of candidate. “He’s not an elected official taking a traditional route; he’s on a nontraditional route,” McCray said. “You are not going to beat a popular governor by taking a traditional route.”

After a decisive primary win, the Democratic nominee for governor has struggled to raise money and get his message out.

Baltimore legislators have introduced what could best be called a modest package of eight bills on behalf of Mayor Catherine E. Pugh (D), a former state senator, former state delegate and former city council member who completed her first full year as the city’s chief executive in December.

By William F. Zorzi More than a third of the Maryland General Assembly’s 90-day session has passed and thus far, there does not seem to be much of a legislative package from Baltimore City to discu…

There is no more sacred trust placed in us as leaders in Maryland than ensuring that the next generation of children has every opportunity to be successful in life. That Maryland has a strong public school system is unquestionable. That we also have schools that do not do an adequate job is also unquestionable.
