Today, we mourn the unexpected passing of K9 Ren, a loyal partner, dedicated officer, and beloved member of the Baltimore Police Department, who passed away on July 7, 2026.
K9 Ren served with unwavering commitment, courage, and heart. Throughout his short career, he stood side by side with his handler, protecting the community, tracking suspects, and ensuring the safety of others without hesitation. His work exemplified the very best of what it means to serve.
Beyond his duties, Ren was more than a police dog—he was a partner, a protector, and a friend. His loyalty and bond with his handler was unmatched, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know and work alongside him.
Today, we honor K9 Ren’s service, sacrifice, and legacy. His watch has ended, but his impact will never be forgotten.
