In Maryland, there are over 51,000 reports of child maltreatment each year. For every reported case of abuse, it is estimated that two go unreported. When parents lack support or education, they are more likely to make poor decisions that can lead to neglect or abuse. And without intervention, the consequences can last a lifetime.
