Collaboration is the key to creating a truly inclusive workforce. At this year's Maryland Works conference, Jade Gingerich facilitated a dynamic CEO panel focused on building stronger employment outcomes with leadership from Dors, Maryland Department of Labor and DDA. Thanks to them for sharing ideas, and continuing to champion disability employment and equity in our state as we advance the work of MDOD’s Office for Disability Employment Policy and Advancement.

Jade also teamed up with UMD's Center for Transition and Career innovation (CTCI to present on LINK a federal funded grant to improve linkage to agency employment services and supports for transitioning youth.

This program provides financial help so Marylanders with physical disabilities can hire their own assistants for support at home, work, or school and other ongoing supports.

- Who is eligible? Adults (18–64) with severe physical disabilities who are:

- Working or looking for a job.

- Enrolled in college or a training program.

- Transitioning out of a nursing home (or working to stay in the community).

Hats Off & Hands Up for the MSD Graduates!

There is nothing quite like the energy of a commencement ceremony, but the graduation at the Maryland School for the Deaf was truly next-level.

The Maryland High-Tech Assistive Technology (AT) Reuse Center is changing that. They take gently used, donated high-tech devices, clean and refurbish them, and give them to Maryland residents who need them—entirely for FREE.
