Sadly, someone reported our account, claiming false information & impersonation. They did not like that we are elevating everyone on the Council, equally!

Committee Chair Spotlight: Councilman Robert Stokes, Sr. () is the Chair of the Education, Workforce, & Youth Committee.

Robert Stokes is a lifelong resident of East Baltimore. A graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar Senior High School, he briefly attended Morgan State University to pursue a degree in Business Administration and Computer Science. Robert began his career in public service in 1984 as campaign coordinator for former City Councilman Edwin Johnson. Robert was also the 45th Legislative District co-campaign coordinator for former Mayor Kurt Schmoke.

Adding to his rich and varied public service experience, Robert was elected to the Maryland Democratic State Central Committee and served four 3-year terms. Prior to his recent election to City Council, he convened a group of several community associations to form the Unified Neighborhoods Coalition, all while serving as council assistant to Councilman Carl Stokes.

Committee Chair Spotlight: Councilman Isaac “Yitzy” Schleifer( ) is the Chair of the Rules & Legislative Oversight committee.

Councilman Schleifer is a small business owner who understands that Baltimore needs better, quality jobs and lower property taxes to retain residents and attract professionals to relocate to Baltimore City.

Having served on the board of directors of the Hebrew Free Loan Association and Suburban Synagogue, his past activism includes serving as the vice president of the Cheswolde Neighborhood Association, board member of the Myerberg Senior Center, Red Cross Young Professionals and the United States Coast Guard Auxilary.
