The Baltimore LSC has been hosting a Council Communism Study Circle, which will have our 9th session on Sunday, December 13 at 6:30 PM EST on jitsi.
We will be reading two texts in preparation to read the first four chapters of the Group of International Communists’ “Fundamental Principals of Communist Production and Distribution.”
- Paul Mattick’s introduction to the GIK text (available on libcom)
and
- Fredo Corvo’s introduction to the GIK text (available on Revolution or War, the journal of the International Group of the Communist Left)
You can find links to the readings, a form that will get you added to the email list, and the link to the meeting itself, as well as a tentative breakdown of the texts we wish to cover moving forward.
The group has had some really great conversations so far, and there has been discussion about branching into the work of the Johnson-Forest Tendency and CLR James after we finish up this fifteen session cycle on the Dutch/German Communist Left.
