Thank you to the Parks and Recs team at the Chick Webb Recreation Center and Pool for the up-close tour of the building's new renovations. From the gym to the pool to the new weight room and recording center, this place is a gem. The community definitely deserves this!

Thanks to the team at Filbert Street Garden for inviting me to Saturday's Easter celebration! It was a great time, and we learned a few lessons. Namely, straw hats are cool and goats are cool but sometimes you have to be careful with the cool in your life.

Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility, which celebrates the lives, contributions, and resilience of transgender and non-binary people worldwide. Last Friday members of Baltimore's transgender and non-binary community gathered in the Rotunda at City Hall to share stories and seek a reaffirmation of our city and state's commitment to our neighbors, all of our neighbors.
