🦺 Reporting for duty!

Zara, Calayah, KyYon, Shannon, Lance, and Tyler are officially on the job! Our second graders spent Friday applying for classroom jobs, from Line Leader to Lunch Box Monitor, and today was their first day on duty!

These bright vests help our classroom leaders stand out while tying right into this year’s BUILT DIFFERENT theme.

They applied. They got the job. And today, they showed us they were ready for the responsibility!

What a way to kick off the school year!

A HUGE thank you to all of our JM families who came out for our 10th Annual Community BBQ yesterday! We loved seeing our Eagles back on campus, meeting teachers, enjoying good food, snowballs, moonbounces, and all the fun that comes with bringing our community together.

And an extra special thank you to all of our community partners who showed up for our families and helped make the day such a success. We couldn’t do what we do without you! Get ready for the best year yet!

Hard work has its perks.

Our JM Adventure Academy students earned a day at the Maryland Science Center, and judging by the smiles, the adults may have had just as much fun as the kids!

Learning doesn’t stop when summer starts. It just gets a little more adventurous.

Did you find a kindness rock in our neighborhood? Keep your eyes open!

After reading When You Find the Right Rock, Ms. C and Ms. Colon’s classes painted kindness rocks and hid them throughout the community to spread a little joy.

The rest of our Adventure Academy Eagles have been just as busy. Students are sharpening their skills, racing to finish mystery novels (ask Ms. Lewis’ and Ms. Gamblin’s classes who killed the naked mole rat class pet!), and diving into science enrichment and robotics.

Next up: the Science Museum! Remember, students must be at school all week to attend the trip. We can’t wait for another week of learning and adventure!

Summer at JM Adventure Academy is in full swing!

Over 100 of our Eagles are spending their summer diving into great books, strengthening math skills they’ll use in every grade, building confidence in phonics, and getting creative with afternoon art.

Our Science and Robotics Crew is busy experimenting, designing, and asking big questions that lead to even bigger discoveries.

And yes, it’s nice and cool inside. We’re blasting the AC and having fun with our learning!

If this is what our Eagles are doing in July, just wait until you see us in August. ✌🏾

From Dave & Buster’s, to Spa & Game Day, to awards and a celebration with family and friends, we closed out elementary school the right way.
