The Maryland State Archives is now receiving applications for our grant-funded workshop: "Indigenous Education in Maryland's Lower Eastern Shore" to be held August 1-4, 2023 at the Edward H. Nabb Center on the campus of Salisbury University.

Folklife Network grants fund organizations serving as regional folklife centers in Maryland.

Grants are administered through Maryland Traditions and support activities that identify, document, support, or present the living cultural traditions of Maryland’s diverse communities.

It's the first Wednesday of the month, so be sure to check out Common Ground Downtown at the Carroll Arts Center!

Common Ground on the Hill a regional folklife center in Carroll County, and the Carroll County Arts Center are hosting music jams, you can check out three separate jams (blues/folk, bluegrass/old-time, and Celtic) occurring simultaneously at the Carroll Arts Center. All ages and skill levels are welcome, as well as listeners! Leaders will help everyone take part.

No enrollment necessary. FREE, but donations welcome.
