This Wednesday May 27th, the MFN Strong Families/CBCAP team wrapped up its final grantee meeting of the year β€” and we couldn't let the moment pass without saying thank you. πŸ’™

To every organization in our CBCAP network: the families and children you show up for every single day are why this work matters. You bring dedication, heart, and deep community knowledge to everything you do β€” and Maryland is stronger for it.

We're grateful to work alongside you. Here's to the year ahead.

Delray has big dreams for his one-year-old son, Dillion.

Through MFN's Patty Center - Family Support Programs, Delray found support, encouragement, and a community that helped him grow into the father he wants to be.

In this short video, Delray shares what that support has meant for him and his family.

This Father's Day, you can celebrate the dads who matter most to you and help more fathers and families find the support and connections they need to thrive.

Make a gift to Maryland Family Network by June 15, and we'll send a Father's Day card to someone special in your life with your personal message enclosed.

Brooke McConnell wanted to create a place where children could learn and grow outdoors. Today, she runs Wild Bee Woods in Accident, Maryland β€” one of Garrett County's newest family child care programs.

She got there with support from GOFCC, Maryland Family Network's free program that helps aspiring providers navigate licensing, training, and the steps to opening a successful child care business.

A recent article from The Garrett County Republican highlights Brooke's story alongside other dedicated providers who are helping families find the child care they need. Their experiences offer a window into both the opportunities and challenges of expanding child care in rural communities.

Providers like Pam Schroth, Ann Collins, and Misti Sharpless have spent decades supporting children and families in Garrett County. Their work strengthens communities and helps parents stay connected to the workforce.

Strong programs start with strong people.

Patty Center staff and parent leaders came together for our annual Spring Training & Conference β€” a day to build skills, share what's working, and connect with others doing this work across Maryland.

For our early childhood professionals, that means practical tools and new ideas they can bring back to the families they serve. For our parent leaders, it's a chance to grow, find their voice, and learn from each other.

Both matter. When providers are stronger, families are better supported. When parents lead, communities change.

Take a look at a few highlights from the day. πŸ’™

Diapers and tampons are basics β€” but for many families with young children, they're not always easy to come by.

This Mother's Day, MFN board member Cristin Marsh organized a supply drive through the Outreach Committee at St. David's Episcopal Church in Roland Park, Baltimore. Their generosity means these essentials will go directly to families in our community who need them.

Thank you to Cristin, the Outreach Committee, and everyone at St. David's who gave. This is what community showing up for community looks like. πŸ’™
