Last week Belair-Edison brought the energy!

Dancing, food, activities, family-friendly fun, and City resources while creating a space for neighbors and young people to connect, celebrate, and enjoy their summer right here at home. Thank you to Baltimore Orioles for helping us send four pairs to an upcoming game! 🧡

This is what is all about. ☀️ And just like that, we only have ONE more Rock the Block left!

It was popping in Poppleton! 💥

Rock the Block brought an evening of dancing, food, activities, City resources, and a chance to celebrate the newly renovated Greater Model Park Pool! 🏊🏾‍♀️☀️

Poppleton brought BIG energy to this stop in the series! 💙

One city. Dozens of neighborhoods visited.

National Night Out is a celebration of Baltimore’s progress and a reminder of what’s possible when we come together.

The MOCA spent the evening visiting neighborhoods across the city, celebrating alongside residents, public safety partners, local organizations, and the many more who help make Baltimore stronger every day.

Last week, we were In the Mix at Coldstream Recreation Center for an evening filled with giveaways, yoga/mindfulness sessions, an incredible performance from KAI AMOR and many more.

From swimming and laughing to connecting and building relationships, Coldstream- Homestead Monticello (CHUM) showed nothing beats a Baltimore Summer!

We’re grateful to be able to make these moments happen for the community.

We had an amazing summer with our MOCA Youth Workers but sadly that time has come to an end, however they didn’t want to go without saying goodbye. We wish them well on their future and look back on the amazing memories during their time with us❤️✨

We kicked off this summer’s Rock the Block series in Sandtown-Winchester!

Neighbors came together for an evening of music, food, activities, and City and community resources.

Sandtown-Winchester brought the energy, and we are so glad to be with the community in summer 2026!

Slide 5: Thank you to Baltimore Orioles for sending Charlee & Heaven to the game on Sunday!

Our team has been hitting the streets of Upton, Dunbar-Broadway, and Sandtown, connecting with neighbors, sharing resources, hearing directly from residents, and spreading the word about Rock the Block and other opportunities to get involved in the community.

Along the way, we’ve also had the chance to learn more about the rich history, people, and stories that make each neighborhood unique.

A huge thank you to the youth, community partners, and neighbors who have joined us in this work! Together, we’re building stronger, safer, and more connected communities—one block and one conversation at a time.

p.s. all of our pictures and captions were created by the MOCA Youthworkers!

Wishing everyone a safe and joyful Fourth of July.

Today as we celebrate Independence Day, we reflect on the ideals of freedom and democracy, and the ongoing work of ensuring they are realized for all.

June took us all across Baltimore, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

This month, we joined Mayor Brandon M. Scott and City partners for community walks and neighborhood assessments, connected with Baltimore dads at our Father’s Day stroller walk and resource fair, and celebrated Juneteenth, AFRAM, Caribbean Heritage Month and Pride with communities across the city.

Behind the scenes, our liaisons stayed hard at work attending community association meetings, listening to residents, sharing City resources, and continuing to strengthen relationships in neighborhoods throughout Baltimore.

Thank you to our community leaders, partner agencies, volunteers, and every resident who welcomed us this month. We’re looking forward to keeping the momentum going all summer long!
