We just wanted to put this out there. And add that they have announced that schools are closed for the week. In my 4 years in At Mervo High School, we missed 0 days for snow, we may have went in late or got out early but never a whole day. If the MTA was running, we went to school.

The Mayor doesn't care about the city or the potholes. They just had to pay out $1Million in a settlement because they could not up keep a wall along E. 26th Street.

Dear mayor of Baltimore City,

You are awesome. Let me say, your great announcement on the residents in Baltimore City needing to shovel the sidewalks, superb! It was in your infinite wisdom, the streets the children live on are covered in snow, yet the sidewalks need to be clean. However, schools are closed (again for the third day, causing lost of funds for employees), and I'm sure it's not because the sidewalks aren't clear. I would like to think it's because buses can't travel their normal routes, or maybe parents can't drive to drop their children off or even mobility shuttles can't reach all their patients. Yet these children's parents are stuck home and can't go to work. Yet, for the few that can, they were forced to shovel their entire blocks by hand, which I thought was the job of your great administration? Mind you, ol great wise mayor, we had a record breaking snow fall.

So while I am sure you were "thinking" about the children, and them needing to get this great common core eduction. In your ever phenomenal foresight, did you consider that while giving fines to these great citizens and calling them stupid, these same citizens can't get to work to pay these much needed fine? Because I can clearly see the City needs money, right? Or did you consider that once these citizens shoveled their sidewalks, the snowplows would push this record breaking snow back on the sidewalks? Causing these hard working citizens to have to clean them again or better yet pay someone to remove it for the second time (and possibly third) or be forced to pay a fine? But, in your everlasting grace and mercy, we are sure you weren't going to let 4-5 foot high snow sit until it melts in our communities, right?

Isn't the well being of our communities important too? Haven't you learned your lesson from years past, that sitting snow mixed with salt causes potholes? Do we really need you employing more people, or paying over time, to fill potholes when this even mounting issue can easily be fixed with a better mindset of service? I say that because I am sure I am not the only tax paying citizen, who has seen plows traveling down or near our roads that could have easily pushed the snow to clear a road way, or even helped in the process of the citizens clearing the street themselves, even if just a little bit. Or is my focus wrong? Are the "affluent" communities and the major roads traveled by our county neighbors more important than our communities?

I must say, I just absolutely love what you have done with downtown and roads intersected by the highway, they are so clean and smooth. But how are residents of the city able to enjoy your hard work if they can't drive their cars out their neighborhood without getting stuck? Don't our tax dollars pay for such perfection? Or are we just money donors to help facilitate the comfort of yours and our county neighbors? Because we all know one of the perks of being major is that (even as a single mom) you don't have to lift a finger to remove the snow from your street, sidewalks, or property.

Sincerely,
A confused citizen

Bryant Glover 👈
Would like the mayor to see this.

Whatever happened to former Mayor Pugh???
The continued mob&thugs rule, murder is ok, police hands tied, run down housing, walking dead zones increasing and acceptance of Democrats financially benefiting off the backs of the bruised while We The People (tax payers, lower working class and poor) continue to pay her and their way. She has to go along with many who have taken My once beautiful City to its knees. Hope people are starting to figure out they have been bamboozled for many years for their vote. God Bless America and Her good Citizens.
