The Allendale Community Association’s food distribution was a great success! It was wonderful to see community members come together alongside Mayor Brandon Scott, Councilman Paris Gray, Delegate Malcolm Ruff, and our Southwest District NCO officers. Thank you to Community President Ms. Cathcart for spearheading and to so many volunteers who helped make the event possible.

For the first time since 1970, we ended the month of May with just 8 homicides, the first single-digit May homicide total recorded in more than five decades.

While one life lost is still one too many, this milestone reflects the progress Baltimore is making and the lives being saved across our city.

This isn't luck, it is the result of intentional work across BPD, prosecutors, and our violence prevention ecosystem.
