YouthWorks Baltimore

YouthWorks is Baltimore City’s summer jobs program for residents between the ages of 14 and 21.

Each year through YouthWorks, the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development (MOED) connects thousands of teens and young adults to meaningful summer work experiences throughout the city. Participants work in a wide variety of industries, including health care and social assistance, hospitality/tourism, finance, construction, the arts, and environmental/green jobs.

Worksite partners, it’s your chance to bring back a YouthWorker from a previous summer! 🌟

To request a specific YouthWorker:
1️⃣ Log in to your YouthWorks application
2️⃣ Select Youth Request
3️⃣ Enter the Youth’s name and registration ID

All requests must be submitted in the YouthWorks system by this Friday, March 27th.

Today is the FINAL DAY to sign up as a YouthWorks HIRE or HOST worksite!

As a reminder, if your business has 5 employees or less, we will cover YouthWorker wages in full. If you have more than 5 employees, you can join as a HIRE worksite and bring on a YouthWorker for just $2,500 for five weeks.

If your business has 5 or fewer employees, YouthWorks covers the young person’s wages. That means you can bring a motivated young worker onto your team, help them build real job skills, and strengthen the future workforce of our city.

Many employers also choose to keep their YouthWorker on through our year-round program, turning a summer experience into a longer opportunity.

YouthWorks is looking for businesses to become Hire worksites this summer. Hire worksites bring a young person onto their team for five weeks and pay their wages, either directly at $15/hour or through a $2,500 reimbursement per YouthWorker.

It’s a simple way to gain extra support during the busy summer months while giving a Baltimore young person meaningful work experience.

All industries are welcome.
