This weekend, the Great Baltimore Lantern Parade returns to Patterson Park for its 27th year! The fun starts at 4PM, when live music, vendors and lantern-making stations will surround the Pulaksi Monument (corner of S. Linwood and Eastern Ave). Kids and families can sign up for the costume contest at 3:30 or cheer on the contestants at 4PM. When darkness settles over the park at 7PM, the glowing parade gets underway! Bright, colorful floats and lanterns are accompanied by lively music as they wind through the park. All are welcome to join in the parade with their own lantern as well!

The Great Baltimore Lantern Parade is hosted by Creative Alliance and the Friends of Patterson Park.

From a tree-pit clean-up (Wed. Oct 21), to walking in the Great Lantern Parade, to hanging up holiday decor, there are plenty of ways to use your skills while uplifting the neighborhood during this busy event-season!

The Fall and Winter holidays are upon us, and Highlandtown knows how to celebrate! We need folks to pitch in at events, and help prepare our streets and sidewalks for the season!
