Our Story
City Steps is a consortium of AIRS programs serving homeless and unstably housed youth. We target "transition-age" youth and young adults engaged in behavior that placed them at risk of contracting STDs or HIV, drug use, and crime. Our programming consists of a comprehensive array of housing and resources for homeless youth ages 18-24, transitional housing and permanent supportive housing.
City Steps manages the following programs for formerly homeless youth:
1. Geraldine Young Family Life Center- A transitional housing facility for young mothers experiencing homelessness ages 18-24 (Capacity: 12 units).
2. Youth Space- Permanent housing for young men and women experiencing homelessness with disabilities (Capacity: Over 24 units).
3. Restoration Gardens- Permanent housing for single formerly homeless young men and women ages 18-24 (Capacity: 44 units at RG1 in Lower Park Heights and 42 unis at RG2 in Pen Lucy).
