on Box Alarm 33-20 at Luzerne & Oliver. Last night 3/14 around 2003 hours, reports of heavy fire were reported from the rear of 2517 East Oliver Street. With Code X-Ray in place units made an exterior knock. 33 Engine cleared a medic run taking their first due blaze.

While at in , FF Gibbons was approached by a young man whom he recognized as someone who used to call 911 frequently for help. The man said, “Thank you guys so much. I got a therapist, a security job and stopped calling y'all. Tell everybody thank you.”

Yesterday morning at 0611 hours and responded to Box 6-10 for the reported Dwelling Fire at 1032 VALLEY ST. A small first floor fire was found and knocked in the rear of the Charlie exposure on Hillman St.

Throughout the morning 6 Engine carried on, taking the usual amount of Medic Standbys.

Between taking additional responses, the Unit went out to the 1200 block of Ensor and executed the posting of Code X-Ray placards.

Just before 2200 hours last night, February 18, 2023 and responded to Box Area 33-50 at 800 N Montford Avenue.

First arriving units to the front of the building Including as first arriving truck came upon a 2 Story brick MOG row home with smoke showing from the Second Division Alpha Side.

1 Civilian was extricated from a second floor window as their only means of egress and walked away with their life.

This evening marks the 119th anniversary of Great Baltimore Fire being suppressed and controlled.

The Great Baltimore Fire raged in Baltimore, Maryland from Sunday, February 7, to Monday, February 8, 1904. More than 1,500 buildings were completely leveled, and some 1,000 severely damaged, bringing property loss from the disaster to an estimated $100 million.

Late at night on Saturday, September 17th, 2022, a fire erupted from the attic
at The James E. Hooper House at the corner of East 23rd Street and St. Paul Street.

and 2nd Battalion Units applied a knocking the blaze and avoiding what could have been a total loss.

The building appears on the National Historic Register. Built in 1886 and outlived The Great Baltimore Fire of 1904.

It was built for the president of a large Baltimore-area cotton mill, the free-standing masonry building housed about a dozen artists’ studios and the Hooper House Gallery.

It was a year ago this morning that we lost our Brothers and Sister.

Some of us were at home waking up…Many of us were also on duty…listening…or working the scene at Stricker Street.

They answered the call
with the upmost heroism and courage…doing the job they loved and sadly, making the ultimate sacrifice. We know it’s part of the job.

These are people and amazing lives we will . Say a prayer for them and their families today.
