Southwest Partnership

Southwest Partnership Building community together in Southwest Baltimore 🤝

Supporting neighbors, businesses, and safer streets.

We aim to address the collective issues of the neighborhoods and assist development and revitalization on a regional scale. Two major activities are in the process of meshing in Southwest Baltimore—a major breakthrough for an area that has been fragmented and languishing. The first is the development of the University of Maryland BioPark; the second, the organization of a coalition of neighborhoo

d groups in the area, the Southwest Partnership. The formation of this neighborhood coalition, when combined with the growing market strength from the BioPark, points to a bright future for an area that has been distressed for well over a generation. Today there is a unique opportunity to capitalize on this moment and lift up Southwest Baltimore through a strategic planning process that will bring University, City and community stakeholders together for the first time to create a thriving Innovation District in and around the UM BioPark as a compliment to the West Side initiative.

A few snapshots from the field! 📸

We spent time in Pigtown installing new Block Project yard signs and visited Mount Clare to check on recently installed alley gates. It’s always exciting to see resident-led projects come to life and make an impact block by block!
