BPD is reminding residents to never hand your phone to someone you do not know or allow access to your payment apps. Lock your apps with passwords or facial recognition and report suspicious activity immediately.

If you believe you’ve been a victim of payment app theft, contact BPD at 1-866-7LOCKUP (1-866-756-2587) and dispute the transaction directly through the payment app.

The Southern District has experienced a spike in larcenies from autos, particularly in the area of Latrobe Park, located in the 1600 block of E. Fort Avenue and near the main entrance on the 1500 block of Andre Street. Residents and visitors are reminded to be mindful of not leaving any property of value visible inside their vehicles. Please report any suspicious activity to 911 and the Southern District.
