Last week, the Baltimore Ravens hosted our Ozzie Newsome scholars at their Under Armour Performance Center! In honor of Ozzie Newsome, The Bisciotti Family Foundation created the Ozzie Newsome Scholars Program in 2022, which funds scholarships for Baltimore City Public Schools graduates who attend an HBCU in Maryland.

Big news! CollegeBound Foundation has merged with MERIT Health Leadership Academy. 
 
MERIT Health Leadership Academy, a well-respected local nonprofit, will be merging into the CollegeBound Foundation. Founded in 2010, MERIT Health Leadership Academy provides comprehensive academic and career mentorship program supporting high school students from underrepresented backgrounds who aspire to have careers in health.
 
As a part of the CollegeBound Foundation, the program will continue its core offerings, including Saturday College Prep Classes, Professional Internships, College Admissions Guidance, and Longitudinal Mentorship, while expanding its reach and impact. 
 
Our 2026 Scholar of the Year, Andrea Torres-Anguiano, is a graduate of MERIT and ¡Adelante Latina! at CollegeBound. MERIT at CollegeBound will leverage the strengths of both organizations to deliver high-impact programming that addresses the unique educational needs and aspirations of scholars in healthcare.
