"When in doubt, there is no doubt -- just do it anyway!" Encouraging word from the esteemed 359th BDE CDR, COL Kurt Page, during the 359th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade - TTSB FY27 Yearly Readiness Brief (YRB), at Fort Gordon, GA.

Here, command leadership teams from across the BDE, assembled to present their annual training, budget, personnel, maintenance, and readiness and task for the next fiscal year (FY).

We even had a guest speaker grace us with a few words at an SEL roundtable/LPD from CSM Bell. As the former 335th Signal Command (Theater) S3 CSM, he provided his perspectives on the roles and development of the senior enlisted leaders as the USAR realigns its forces to enable and support large scale combat operations (LSCO). CSM Bell is now the Joint Base Maguire-Lakehurst-Dix garrison CSM.

We were even able to squeeze in a brisk morning trail run. Despite the weather's alternative heat setting, we all remembered that "when in doubt, there is no doubt -- just do it anyway!"

The 392D HHC and Charlie Company soldiers are back at work during the December Battle Assembly.

Soldiers are testing and validating the equipment before their first Communication Exercise in January with Bravo Company, located in Tobyhanna, PA.

Even with all the training, 1SG Clark found an opportunity to meet and mentor a soldier in the Split Training Option (STO). Mr. Adegborioye is a 17-year-old junior at a local high school. He enlisted and attended Basic Training the summer after his junior year. Upon finishing high school, he will then go to Advanced Individual Training (AIT).

Benefits of the STO Program: Earn pay, college tuition assistance, medical/dental, and start your Army career early.

Today's spotlight is on one of 392D Expeditionary Signal Battalion – Enhanced extraordinary service members, Captain James Crosby.

CPT James Crosby assumed command of the illustrious Bravo Company, located in Tobyhanna, PA, from CPT Sergio Swan. Being a signal company commander means you’re the commander of people first, and the integrator of communications always. His unit ensures the Army’s ability to exercise mission command, which makes him a cornerstone of modern operations.

CPT Crosby previously served as the Future Operations OIC for 392D ESB-E and as a Platoon Leader in both Bravo and Charlie Companies. CPT Crosby deployed as a Platoon Leader with Bravo Company in 2022 in support of European Deterrence Initiative.

CPT James Crosby, a native of Edmond, Oklahoma, received a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve in May 2020. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis. His military education is comprised of Signal Basic Officer Leader’s Course, Unit Movement Officer, and OPSEC Level II

In his civilian capacity, CPT Crosby is a Software Engineer at Leidos’ Advanced Warfare Technology Division. In this role he both writes real-time software implementations of signal and image processing algorithms and manages a team of nine engineers tackling R&D problems for the defense community.

CPT Crosby’s awards include the following: Army Commendation Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device.

Please join us in recognizing CPT Crosby's dedication to service by assuming the role of one of the most demanding and rewarding leadership roles in the Army. It blends the tactical responsibilities of leading soldiers with the technical challenges of managing complex communications systems.

392D E-ESB HHC and C CO displaying their tactical weapons competency and proficiency on the range at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, through "zeroing" and qualifying on the weapon.

Zeroing and qualifying aren’t just check-the-box tasks. When you zero, you’re making sure your weapon is dialed in for you — where you aim is where the bullet hits. That means when it matters most, you can trust your weapon. Qualification is where you prove you can actually use that weapon under combat-like conditions. It shows you’re lethal, you’re confident, and you’re ready. Zeroing makes the weapon accurate for you. Qualification proves you are accurate with the weapon.

Good job team!

LTC Bennett and CSM Roche recently visited the Soldiers of the 392D Expeditionary Signal Battalion - Enhanced (ESB-E) currently supporting operations at CSTX 25-02 in Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. The visit was part of a battlefield circulation to check in on our team, assess mission ex*****on, and recognize the hard work being done.

The small contingent of 392D Soldiers are providing additional reliable, expeditionary communications to enable mission command. Yesterday afternoon, a fiber pedestal got struck by lightning, which affected fiber nodes, and 392D was by-name-requested to provide a new node via SNN cradle point. Whether operating from remote tactical sites or integrated into brigade-level networks, our Soldiers continue to demonstrate unmatched technical expertise, agility, and resilience.

In recognition of their efforts, several Soldiers were presented with the Battalion Coin of Excellence by LTC Bennett and CSM Roche for their exemplary performance and dedication to duty. Their professionalism and commitment to the mission embody the spirit of the 392D and set the standard for signal support across the Army.

These Soldiers prove day in and day out why the 392D ESB-E is the Pride of the Signal Corps.

We serve to honor.
