Effective immediately the Governor has issued an Executive Order that bans the issuance of Open Burn Permits for 14 days. Any existing burn permit that has not been completed is null and void and open burning is not permitted for 14 consecutive days beginning now.

*UPDATE*
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that the search has been concluded. Jack Dunning was located at approximately 1 P.M. Sunday. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

We appreciate all of the outpouring of help we received. We had over 150 people, plus multiple agencies, including drones, helicopters, and airplanes.
🚨Attention🚨

Anyone that may know the location of Jack Dunning of Decatur, please call the Burt County Sheriff’s Office. Jack went missing around 8 PM Friday night in the area of Highway 51 and County Road 17 in Burt County. Law Enforcement and fire departments are working diligently to locate Jack and currently do not need any volunteers in the search area at this time.

Tonight during our monthly meeting we had the privilege of voting two new members in to the department.

Sara Toft is our newest nurse to join our rescue department and Galen Siebrandt is our newest fireman.

We are proud to have these two join our fire/rescue department.
