Mandatory evacuation is lifted, as of 9a, Friday, July 17th. RVs are free to return to the RV parks.

Showers predicted throughout today and we are under Flood Watch until noon.

City Park entrance will be closed until further notice preventing vehicle traffic. Like always, if we are not at the gate collecting admission, you may walk the park and enjoy the playgrounds, but water quality and safety is unknown at this point. It will take time for it to settle back down and us clear any dangerous debris.

RV park update: The mandatory evacuation for all RV parks in the City Of Bandera has been lifted. All guest may return to the RV parks.

⚠️ Bandera Marshal’s Office – Public Safety Reminder ⚠️

We know many people are curious and want to walk down to the river to see the rising water. We understand the temptation, but please do not do it.
It is getting dark and the river is continuing to rise. Conditions can change rapidly. Water levels and currents are often much stronger than they appear, creating dangerous situations in a matter of seconds.
The areas near the river have been evacuated for a reason. Please respect all barricades and closures. They are in place to protect you, your family, and the first responders who would have to risk their lives if a rescue became necessary.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and for helping us keep Bandera safe.

Update on the RV parks: The RV parks are still under mandatory evacuation orders. As soon as the the mandatory evacuation order has been lifted, the RV parks will be notified.

⚠️ 7/16/25 - BEC is aware of power outages throughout our service territory due to severe weather, heavy rains and flooding.

5:00 pm - While power has been restored to most of the service territory, there are still approximately 200 members without power. These outages may continue throughout the night due to inaccessible flooded roadways or complicated repairs. Please contact our Member Relations team at the phone number below with any questions. Turn around, don’t drown. I know we’ve all heard the saying. It only takes 6 inches of water to wash a car away. You also never know if the road or bridge is still there. Turn around. never drive around barricades.

⚠️ Public Safety Update – Bandera Marshal’s Office ⚠️

The Medina River is expected to crest today at around 25 feet. Flooding conditions remain dangerous, and we urge everyone to make safety their top priority.

If you are in a low-lying or flood-prone area, remain on higher ground and do not return to affected areas until officials determine it is safe to do so.

Please do not travel unless absolutely necessary. Road conditions can change rapidly, and even shallow moving water can be extremely dangerous.

Do not drive around barricades. They have been placed to protect both our community and the first responders working tirelessly to keep everyone safe. Going around a barricade puts your life and the lives of emergency personnel at unnecessary risk.

The Bandera Marshal’s Office continues to work closely with Bandera County Emergency Management to monitor conditions and respond as needed.

Your safety is our highest priority. Please continue to monitor official updates and use caution.

⚠️ Public Safety Update – Bandera Marshal’s Office

⚠️The Medina River is expected to continue rising over the next several hours into tomorrow. Residents are encouraged to remain alert and closely monitor changing conditions.

If you live in a low-lying or flood-prone area, move to higher ground immediately if you have not already done so.

Bandera County Emergency Management activated its Command Center last night, and the Bandera Marshal’s Office is working closely with them to monitor conditions and help keep our community safe.

Please stay indoors if possible, avoid unnecessary travel, and never drive around barricades. They are in place for your safety and to protect emergency responders.
