In a rural community, training together matters. Our volunteer firefighters are often first on scene, and working together helps us provide the best possible care when every second counts.

Our EMS Medical Director, Dr. Wentling, and Captain Machetta, recently spent time training with Medina Lake Volunteer Fire Department as part of our ongoing commitment to train with all of our volunteer departments across the county.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteer firefighters for your time, commitment, and partnership. We truly are stronger together.

Today we're keeping our neighbors at Kendall County EMS in our thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss of one of their own.

There are no words that can truly ease the pain of losing a partner, friend, and dedicated paramedic. We pray for strength, comfort, and peace for his family, his EMS family, and everyone whose life he touched.

May God wrap His arms around all of you in the difficult days ahead. From all of us, you are not alone. 💙🚑

Cluster of storms moving east - southeast with torrential rainfall & pockets of frequent lightning. Will monitor their trends to see if they hold together as they'd eventually reach Bexar County. (8:55pm)

Please continue to monitor your local weather forecasts and be prepared for changing conditions. Heavy rain can quickly create dangerous roadways and flood low-water crossings.

Remember: Turn Around, Don't Drown. Just a few inches of moving water can sweep away a vehicle, and it's never worth the risk.
Stay informed, stay alert, and stay safe.

Flood Watch is in effect for parts of the Hill Country, I-35 corridor, southern Edwards Plateau, and Rio Grande Plains from 9 PM this evening through Thursday evening. There is the potential for life threatening flooding somewhere in the watch area. Storm totals of 2 to 6 inches are possible over the Flood Watch area with isolated 10 inches. Stay weather aware!

Today, we celebrate International Paramedics Day and take a moment to recognize the incredible paramedics of Bandera County EMS, as well as paramedics across the globe.

This year's theme, "Innovate & Integrate," reminds us that paramedicine is always evolving. Through new ideas, teamwork, and collaboration, paramedics continue to grow, adapt, and provide exceptional care to the communities they serve.

To our paramedics—thank you. Thank you for the long hours, the missed holidays and family time, the difficult calls, and the countless moments where your knowledge, compassion, and calm presence make all the difference. You answer the call on people's worst days, often without expecting recognition, simply because helping others is what you do.

We are incredibly proud of each of you and grateful for the care, dedication, and heart you bring to this profession every single day.

Happy International Paramedics Day to our team and to paramedics everywhere. Thank you for all that you do—we appreciate you today and every day. 💙🚑

Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸

Today, as we celebrate 250 years of American independence, we also pause to remember those who lost their lives in the devastating floods one year ago today. Our hearts remain with their families, loved ones, first responders, and our neighboring community as they continue to heal.

From all of us at Bandera County EMS, we wish everyone a safe, happy, and blessed Independence Day. If you're celebrating today, please make good decisions, look out for one another, and remember that we're here if you need us.
