Today was one of those special moments that reminds you what makes small-town communities so meaningful.
As our Bandon High School Track & Field team departed for the state championships at Hayward Field, the Bandon Rural Fire District Fire Department proudly escorted our student-athletes out of town. Sirens, lights, students, families, staff, and community members all came together to celebrate these young people and the hard work that earned them this opportunity.
Moments like this go far beyond sports. They reflect the pride our community takes in supporting its students and the way our schools bring people together. In Bandon, we celebrate each other’s successes, show up for one another, and rally around our kids.
Thank you to the Bandon Fire Department for helping make this send-off so memorable and for demonstrating what community pride and service look like in action.
Good luck at state, Tigers — your entire community is behind you!
