The lock in issued earlier today at the Bandon School District has now been lifted.
The Bandon Police Department placed our schools in a lock in due to police activity in the surrounding neighborhood. Law enforcement has since secured the area, and normal operations have resumed.
We want to reassure our families and community that there was never a direct threat to the school district. The lock in was implemented out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
Thank you to our students, staff, families, and law enforcement for your cooperation and support.

This morning the Bandon Police Department placed the Bandon School District into a lock in due to police activity in the surrounding neighborhood. We are currently in a lock in as law enforcement works to secure the area.

This action was taken out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Student and staff safety remains our top priority, and we are following guidance from law enforcement.

Please stay away from the area until further notice so emergency personnel can do their work safely and efficiently.

We will provide updates as more information becomes available. Thank you to our staff, students, and families for your cooperation and support.
