Due to a large apartment complex fire at Harvard Street Apartments, approximately 10 residents have been displaced. The Red Cross is assisting those affected. If you are a resident displaced by the fire and fled the scene, please gather at the common area at Harvard Street Apartments for assistance and additional information.

The Bandon Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance regarding a recent series of metal thefts in the area, including the theft of letters and commemorative plaques from the Bandon Veterans Memorial believed to have occurred on or around May 2, 2026.

These memorial plaques hold significant value to our community and the veterans they honor. We are asking anyone with information that may assist in identifying those responsible or aid in the recovery of the stolen items to contact the Bandon Police Department.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call (541) 347-2241. Tips from the public may play a critical role in bringing those responsible to justice and recovering these important memorial pieces.
