Mail Call!

Bangor Township Residents can expect to receive a Resident Verification card in the mail that you must show at the Bangor Township Transfer Station before you will be allowed access.

If you live in the Township and have not received a card or lost the one we sent you, please send us an email and we will reprint a card with your name and address on it.

Our hearts go out to our neighbors at the Van Buren Road Commission and this workers family.

THE ROAD COMMISSION WANTS YOU TO KNOW . . .

“Today is a difficult day for our Road Commission family”, said Linnea Rader, Acting Managing Director for the Van Buren County Road Commission. “I join all our employees and Board in mourning the loss of one of our own in a tragic accident. A family is now devastated, and our community must now deal with a senseless tragedy. To family and friends who are hurting today, we share your pain. Please know that there is support out there for you.”

The deceased employee was a Road Maintenance Employee at the Van Buren County Road Commission and a dedicated team member. He focused on the good of the Road Commission and the motoring public and made many great contributions during his employment.

The Road Commission is working with the Michigan State Police and other agencies with their investigation. Additional information will be released at a later date. We ask for time and grace as we deal with this tragic situation.
