Good morning,

25 years ago today the American people woke to a beautiful warm sunny morning and started to go to work and school like any usual day. No one knew what was about to happen to our country. The tragedy that unfolded in the early morning hours was one of the worst attacks on American soil. As I sit and type this out I remember vividly what I was doing when the news came. I was a freshman in Bangor High School and sitting in American History 1 with Mr. Levine. Another teacher burst into the room and said “you gotta turn the tv on, a plane just hit the World Trade Center”. He quickly went to the tv and turned the news on. I think the tv was on for about 10minutes and that’s when we watched the second tower get hit. Needless to say I will NEVER FORGET what I was doing on this day and I will NEVER FORGET the tragedy that struck America this day in 2001. Rest easy to all those that perished in NYC, Washington and western Pennsylvania.

Four years ago, I was campaigning to be a member of council here in Bangor when a storm hit South Bangor and destroyed properties and business. We were promised help and support by our leaders that never came. I remember all of this, as a voter and a Councilman now, do you remember us Governor Josh Shapiro? We can not keep having these disasters. South Bangor is hurting once again. I’m calling on all our elected leaders that represent Bangor to come here and see this disaster again, knock on the doors of our residents hear their complaints and help us. Senator Lisa M. Boscola U.S. Congressman Ryan Mackenzie John FettermanPA State Rep. Ann Flood Tara M Zrinski

I’d like to take a moment and thank everyone that came out last night to to Bangors National Night Out it is always nice to see the community out and enjoying the night. Thank you to all the community organizations that came out and were vendors all in which give back to our community one way or another. To Bangor Police Department, Bangor Fire Department, Blue Valley Rescue Squad - Station 71 for all their help in making last night a success. Rescue Fire Company #1,Liberty Fire Company #2 and Second Ward Fire Company with out all these first responders volunteering their time last, it would not have been a success. Again thank you all for the support and coming out last night.

We pause to honor the memory of the 49 individuals who tragically lost their lives in the mass shooting at Pulse Night Club 10 years ago, while out for a night with friends and family. 53 others were severely wounded. Countless others were left scared for life. This tragedy highlights the need for stricter measures to prevent such senseless acts, whether in a nightclub, school, grocery store, or office building. This hits close to home for me and the LGBTQ+ community.
