*** 🎆Happy 4th of July!🎇***

We are all set up for a pancake breakfast this morning! (7am to 9am)

Then come watch the parade starting at 11 am. The parade will start at Tonkawa Trail and Mcmurry, then move down McMurray BLVD and Antelope Dr. The parade will then end at Antelope Park.

We hope to see you today to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence!

Remember, this year the town has designated antelope park ball field as a personal firework spot. This is an effort to create a safer environment while still allowing for celebrations to continue. Please listen to all fire and law enforcement personnel on the site.

National Preparedness Level 4

The National Multi-Agency Coordination Group has raised the nation’s wildfire response to Preparedness Level 4.

At PL 4, wildland firefighting resources across the country are heavily committed. Fire crews, engines, aircraft, and incident management teams are being prioritized for the most critical incidents, and resources may be traveling long distances to meet demand.

What this means for our community:

* 🔥 New fires have the potential to compete for limited firefighting resources.
* đźš’ Initial attack remains the best opportunity to keep fires small.
* đźš« Preventing human-caused fires is more important than ever.
* 🌬️ Be especially cautious during hot, dry, and windy conditions.

One preventable fire can pull critical resources away from another community in need.

Please do your part:

* Follow all fire restrictions.
* Avoid activities that can create sparks.
* Properly extinguish ci******es and campfires.
* Report wildfires immediately.

Every prevented wildfire helps keep firefighters and resources available where they’re needed most.

The National Preparedness Level increased to 4 (PL4) today, June 29, as significant wildland fire activity is occurring across multiple geographic areas, resulting in a substantial commitment of incident management teams.

The National Interagency Coordination Center is increasingly coordinating with geographic area coordination centers to prioritize and fill resource orders for all national resources, with a heavy demand being placed on lower-activity geographic areas to provide available resources.

Forecasts also indicate a continued high potential for new large fires to emerge across multiple geographic areas in the coming days.

Preparedness levels range from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest), based on fire activity, weather, fuel conditions, and resource availability. Learn more about preparedness levels here: https://www.nifc.gov/fire-information
