Ojibwa Community Library The Ojibwa Community Library, Wiikwedong Dazhi-Ojibwe Agindaasoowigamig, is located at 409 Superior Avenue, Baraga, Michigan.

The mission of the Ojibwa Community Library is to provide a collection of print and non-print materials for all ages to meet the lifelong learning, recreational, research, cultural, and informational needs of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. The library is part of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. It is open to all tribal members and residents of Baraga County. The library has 5 public computer

s, and wireless internet connection. We have a large collection of Native American books (adult and children), Ojibwe language books/materials, audio books, and movies. We also have a large selection of the latest non-native fiction books, non-fiction books, and audio books for adults and children, along with movies. The library provides the following services: inter-library loan and audio/ebook lending via Overdrive. Copying and laminating services are available for a small fee. Please join us next Tuesday, July 7, as we bring back "Coffee with an Advocate" at the Ojibwa Community Library in Baraga.

Our Survivor Advocates and other staff will be in the meeting room at the library starting at 11am, if anyone in the community wants to chat or learn more about programs and services!

We will also be joined by Baraga County Shelter Home's Executive Director, Celeste Hendrickson, who will be sharing her expertise and tips for writing and submitting strong Personal Protection Orders (PPOs).

We will be hosting "Coffee with an Advocate" every first Tuesday of the month for the remainder of the year, with a different topic each month. Coffee will be provided. Stay tuned for future event topics!

This virtual series will prepare students to enter medical school.

The Mayo Clinic offers this excellent opportunity at no charge, September 09-November 18, 2026. All the pre-requisites discussed will prepare students to enter medical school, dental school, pharmacy, veterinary school and other medical disciplines.
