A job well done! More than 134 pounds of unused and expired prescription drugs were collected by Magic City Kiwanians on Saturday. In cooperation with the Barberton Police Department and the Barberton Community Foundation, MCK members took part in the annual Drug Take Back Day. The work is part of a national initiative aimed at providing a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs. It encourages the public to safely and anonymously dispose of expired, unused, or unnecessary medications at designated collection sites, helping to reduce prescription drug misuse and prevent accidental overdoses and poisonings.

Avoiding Cyber Scams 101

Good morning Magic City Kiwanians,

Eagle Scout candidate Jack Schenkenberger presented an overview of his "Scam Safety 101" project as part of our April 8 meeting. His project is nearing completion. Good afternoon MCK colleagues,

Thank you to all who attended today's meeting. BHS wrestling coach Jason Morr provided a fun and informative presentation.

More "saucy" highlights from the annual Magic City Kiwanis-Esther Ryan Shoe Fund Spaghetti Dinner. What a night for sauce and spice. Did I mention that all the pasta was "al dente!" Wow. Prince of Peace Parish Hall was filled with hungry pasta eaters from 4 pm until closing. Thank to you all who volunteered to make the event super special. More spaghetti...PLEASE!

Who's hungry for spaghetti? As it turns out, hundreds of local residents said, "ME!" They lined up to get plates full of pasta and plenty of tasty sauce at the annual Magic City Kiwanis-Esther Ryan Shoe Fund Spaghetti Dinner at Prince of Peace Parish Hall on Friday. The hall was filled with hungry pasta eaters from 4 pm until 7 pm. The fantastic feast was prepared and served by Barberton firefighters.
What a fantastic meal it was. People were waiting to get in at 3:30 pm. Leach's Meats & Sweets provided the salads and tantalizing desserts, which included cookies and pies of many flavors. East of Chicago Pizza provided garlic cheese bread to team with the saucy pasta.
Hundreds of dinners were served both in the hall and as take home via a drive through crewed by Magic City Kiwanis members and Barberton High School student volunteers.

My sister Laurie and I had dinner at Jeremy’s new restaurant tonight. Dinner was delicious, service was great and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Nice place to take your family.
