Today, we honor Juneteenth — a day of reflection, remembrance, and celebration of freedom. ❤️🖤💚
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.
As we celebrate today, we also recognize the strength, resilience, culture, and contributions of Black Americans throughout history and within our communities. May we continue learning, listening, and working toward a future rooted in equality, understanding, and hope.

The Currituck County Library Foundation is excited to partner with Sanctuary Vineyards for a special fundraising event on Thursday, July 2nd, during Acoustic Sunset from 5:30 PM–8:30 PM.

Enjoy great live music, beautiful vineyard views, and time with friends and neighbors—all while supporting a great cause! 10% of the evening's proceeds will be donated to the Currituck County Library Foundation, helping us continue to support programs, resources, and services for our community.
