🚛 RECENT HIGH SCHOOL GRADS — READY TO START A CAREER THAT MOVES?

Nelson County Schools UP Center, Pathways UP Adult Education, and Team Kentucky Adult Education are offering a FREE Fast Track Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) program beginning June 9!

✅ FREE training
✅ CDL theory instruction
✅ Limited seats available
✅ Great first step toward a high-demand driving career

To qualify, students must:
✔️ Be at least 18 years old
✔️ Have a high school diploma or GED
✔️ Hold a valid Kentucky driver’s license
✔️ Have access to a computer and Wi-Fi for virtual coursework

📅 Cohort begins June 9
📍 Hybrid format with in-person, virtual, and self-paced online modules

Opportunities like this allow students to bridge classroom learning with practical application while building professionalism, compassion, and confidence in the field of healthcare.

Our team at the UP Center are immensely grateful to CHI Saint Joseph Health - Flaget Memorial Hospital & Foundation for hosting our second group of Healthcare Certification students for their shadow experience!

Students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of specialties, including OB, ICU, Med Surg, PT, Ortho, Lab, Pharmacy, and the Cancer Center. These hands-on experiences are invaluable as they help students discover their passions and see the impact of healthcare careers firsthand.

Our Group 3 Certified Clinical Medical Assistant students have officially completed their 30 required blood draws, marking the final group to reach this incredible milestone on the path to phlebotomy certification!

From first sticks to confident, skilled draws, these students have shown resilience, growth, and a true commitment to patient care. They are now heading into their certification exam—and we are so proud of how far they’ve come!

To our incredible volunteers—thank you. Your willingness to give your time, encouragement, and blood made this hands-on learning possible not just once, but for all three groups. This achievement belongs to you, too. ❤️

Our Group 2 Certified Clinical Medical Assistant students have officially completed their 30 required blood draws as they work toward their phlebotomy certification!

With each stick, these students have shown incredible growth in skill, confidence, and compassion—all essential qualities of future healthcare professionals. They are now one step closer to their certification exam, and we couldn’t be more proud!

Please join us in celebrating our Group 1 Certified Clinical Medical Assistant students who have officially completed their 30 required blood draws on their journey to earning their phlebotomy certification!

This is no small feat—each draw represents growing skill, confidence, and commitment to patient care. Because of their hard work and perseverance, these students are now one step closer to their certification exam and future careers in healthcare!

Today, students had the opportunity to be part of the paving of our brand new bus garage parking lot—getting hands-on experience alongside industry professionals and seeing their skills come to life in a meaningful way.

We’re incredibly grateful to CHI Flaget and the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth for inviting our Phlebotomy Technician and CCMA students to take part in conducting CHI’s Health Fair for the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.

It was an amazing opportunity for our students to apply their skills, serve the community, and be part of such a meaningful event.

The day was filled with fun, learning, and wonderful camaraderie—we truly appreciate being included in such a special experience!
