🎬 Filming for the major motion picture Ethan Almighty is taking place in downtown Bardstown this afternoon through early Friday morning.

Visitors and residents can expect temporary parking restrictions on North 3rd Street between Flaget Avenue and Court Square throughout the afternoon and evening. North 3rd Street between Broadway and Stephen Foster Avenue will close beginning around 8PM tonight and reopen around 1AM 🚧

Most importantly — downtown businesses, shops, and restaurants remain OPEN and accessible throughout the day and evening!!

If you’re heading downtown later tonight, please allow extra travel time and use alternate routes once filming operations begin. What a great day in bardstown!! 🤩

Not every downtown day has to be big plans and packed schedules 🤍

Sometimes it’s just taking a second to recharge, grabbing a quick bite to eat, finding a few things while walking through downtown sippin’ on a delicious wine slushie and ending the night with a carriage ride around the square ✨.

Honestly… those are usually the best kind of days.

At this point, we’re all just trying to survive the endless rain with coffee, takeout, and a little online shopping ☔️😅…

Luckily, downtown Bardstown still makes it easy to support local without spending all night out in the weather 👏🏼👏🏼!! Many of our shops & boutiques offer online shopping + pickup later, and if you’re staying in tonight, skip cooking and grab takeout from one of our downtown restaurants instead 🍔😋.

Coffee, dinner, self care… downtown still has you covered, rain or shine 💛!

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom 🇺🇸

As we spend time with family, enjoy our community, and soak in this long weekend, we’re reminded that Memorial Day is about gratitude, sacrifice, and remembering those who made it all possible.
