K9 Chase of the Bargersville Police Department takes his job seriously… don’t worry though, this is just what “off-duty tactical training” looks like.
Believe it or not, Chase once found himself in a shelter because he had the audacity to chase chickens on a farm. Thankfully the wonderful folks at the Morgan County Humane Society reached out, and we're glad they did.
When Chase first started his training he quickly became a crowd favorite for one very unique reason. Every time he located narcotics during training, he’d celebrate with his signature “prancing paws” dance that had everyone laughing. (Video in the comments) His enthusiasm was impossible to miss, and it’s exactly what made him so much fun to work with.
Today, Chase has a handler whose excitement matches his own, and together they’ve developed into an incredible team. Seeing this happy, goofy dog living the life he was always meant to have is a reminder that one bad chapter doesn’t define the rest of the story.
From chasing chickens to chasing bad guys—we’d say that’s a pretty good trade.
