We wish we had a better post for Friday. But absolutely horrific news has come out of Tulsa, Oklahoma today. The towing community is mourning the passing of Mike and Mamie Moore; both husband and wife and owners of Mikes Towing in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Both were shot in their own office over a payment dispute about an impounded vehicle from a disgruntled customer. We did not know these people, but this industry is a very tight knit community. Everyone knows everyone somehow. This event is aggravating, frustrating, and devastating. There is not one single reason these 2 people should not still be here with there families.

Our condolences, prayers, and strength for the friends, families, coworkers and anyone else going thru this tragedy.

This is a sad world we live in.

The Highway 59 bridge over the Arkansas River north of Barling is scheduled to decrease to a single lane from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26. The Corps of Engineers will be performing a routine bridge inspection. Flaggers will be in place to monitor alternating traffic. As a small business, we know how important it is to have other local businesses you can count on.

This morning, one of our vehicles decided it wasn’t interested in starting, and with our truck already tied up, we were in a bit of a bind.

We called Evan with Asphalt Cowboys Towing, and he was there quickly to get us going.

He diagnosed what was likely the issue, recommended replacing the battery, and sure enough—that solved it.
