An excellent example of extension programming! Today Tristin Bolton with the help of Allisyn Stratton put on a Mediterranean diet class and taught attendees all about the ins and outs of the Mediterranean diet and gave attendees the opportunity to cook quite a few dishes. This was an excellent workshop and if anyone has the opportunity to attend a cooking class by our UAEX-Sebastian County FCS agent I would encourage your participation!

The variety trial involved counting how many marketable vs unmarketable berries there were between Ponca, Ouachita, and Caddo blackberry varieties. Future plans for the Blackberry Patch is also included in the report.

This Wednesday! The Sebastian County Horticulture Agent will be giving an informative presentation on Tree Identification and Evolutionary History. This will cover some tips on using tree ID tools, info on invasive trees, “pseudo trees,” and more.

The class will be primarily inside in the air conditioning.
