Dredging operations are moving from Barnegat Bay to the Harvey Cedar area and will start in a few days!

The pipeline is marked with lit pencil buoys, orange Norwegian buoys and channel marker crossing buoys. Boaters are urged to utilize extreme caution and SLOW/No Wake Speeds when operating through the construction zone and should stay away from all floating equipment. Pipelines can be difficult to see and may traverse areas outside of marked channels traditionally used by local boaters. Please utilize the marked crossings to proceed over the pipeline. This map is an approximation and is not to be utilized for navigation.

The public is advised to use channel 63 to contact the equipment, as necessary.

Dredging is complete in the Mill Creek Channel, and dredge pipelines have been relocated to the Margos Channel, just north of the Route 72 Bridge. Work will continue in this channel for the next few days.

Pipelines can be difficult to see and may traverse areas outside of marked channels. Boaters and Jet Skis are urged to use extreme caution when operating around marked pipelines and should stay away from all floating equipment. Use extreme caution and SLOW/No Wake Speeds through the construction zone. Use channel 63 to contact the equipment, as necessary.

Today BM2 Mason Simms received The Commandant's letter of Commendation Ribbon for his duty here at Station Barnegat Light. Quarters was held this morning honoring this man's accomplishments. He is now off to another Surf station to provide them the top quality service he performed here. He will be missed. Fair winds and calm seas Brother. Semper Paratus!
