City of Barnesville

• Park hours: 7:00 AM – Dusk

• No alcohol or illegal substances permitted

• No glass containers

• Pets must be always leashed; please clean up after your pet

• No littering — please use trash receptacles provided

• No smoking or va**ng in playground or pavilion areas

• Grills and open flames permitted only in designated areas

• No unauthorized vehicles, motorized scooters, or ATVs on park grounds

• Pavilion reservations required for large group gatherings

• No unauthorized vending, soliciting, or commercial activity

• Report vandalism or safety concerns to the Civic Center


Violation of park rules may result in removal from park premises.

Atlanta Gas Light Co. (AGL) is now replacing approximately 18,600 feet of gas lines in Barnesville. This work is taking place within the Road ROW with exception to the new gas services to your property. Crews from AGL, Crossview Technologies, and Primoris are involved in the project. This project is overseen by AGL inspectors and will be ongoing throughout the remainder of 2026.

The City of Barnesville is accepting applications for part-time positions at the Barnesville Civic Center.
Job responsibilities:
Monitoring Center activities, meeting rooms, and fitness area
Explain and/or demonstrate the proper and safe use of equipment
Help ensure the rooms are properly set up for upcoming events.
Interacting with customers is needed to ensure all rules and regulations are adhered to and that activities and events are run as planned.
Able to handle day-day activities, including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning windows, and helping as needed for additional activities.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
