How to Estimate Your 2026 Taxes
To estimate your 2026 property taxes, follow these steps:
1. Go to qpublic.net/ga/lamar and click the Estimate Taxes tab.
2. Select your tax district. If you live within the city limits of Barnesville or Milner, be sure to use the correct city mill rate.
3. Enter the property value shown on your assessment notice.
4. Check your assessment notice for any estimated tax savings. If a savings amount is listed, subtract it from the amount shown online to calculate an estimate of this year’s taxes

How to Estimate Your 2026 Taxes
To estimate your 2026 property taxes, follow these steps:
1. Go to qpublc.net/ga/lamar and click the Estimate Taxes tab.

All assessment notices were mailed out May 26, 2026, and last day to file an appeal is July 10, 2026.

A taxpayer can file an appeal by:
• Sending a written letter to the board of assessors. Must include a reason to appeal, a value, and which option you would like to take.
• An email can be sent to [email protected]. Must include a reason to appeal, a value, and which option you would like to take
• Can come into the office.
• File an appeal online at qpublic.net/ga/lamar

Reasons for Appeal
An appeal can be made based on any of the following reasons:
• Denial of Homestead / Special Use Exemption
• Uniformity
• Value
If a property owner files an appeal, one of the following options must be selected:
• An appeal to the County Board of Equalization with appeal to the Superior Court.
• Arbitration (value)
• County Hearing Officer (value or uniformity, on non-homestead real property or wireless personal property valued, in excess of 500,000)
