TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY 🎉

The event we have all been waiting for is here.
And now seemed like a great time to share some logistics!

Pictured below is the parking information for tomorrow. There will be NUMEROUS first response vehicles and it is important that they can leave if necessary- so please follow guidelines in place for parking.

Hidden Valley Community Church has been kind enough to offer thier parking for public use but they do ask that nobody park in the grass.

We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!!

Last Wednesday, FF Royce Nelson of the Barneveld-Brigham Fire Department took Brush 2 (our UTV) to Governor Dodge State Park to assist with K9 Search & Rescue training.

One of the biggest challenges for search dogs is becoming comfortable around the sights, sounds, and movement of emergency equipment. By exposing the dogs to our UTV in a controlled environment, we’re helping build their confidence before they’re ever called to a real search.

The training brought together 10 K9 teams from multiple departments, along with UTVs from Barneveld-Brigham, Dodgeville Fire/Rescue, and Arena Fire Department. Working together like this strengthens the relationships and coordination that are critical when agencies respond to missing person searches. Search-and-rescue K9s are trained to work in a wide variety of environments, and familiarization with vehicles and equipment is an important part of preparing them for real-world deployments.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make it a successful day of training. Every opportunity to train together helps ensure we’re ready when our communities need us most.

And finally, thank you to all of the dedicated BBFD members who put in countless hours planning, organizing, setting up, and participating in this training.

We are fortunate to serve a community that continually supports its fire department. Because of that support, we’re able to train with realistic scenarios that make us better prepared when our neighbors need us most.
