Today, the team participated in a drill at JBCC, focusing on the Structural Collapse rubble pile. The team divided their training between Breaching & Breaking and Confined Space Rescue.

Yesterday, members of Barnstable county, joined members of Plymouth and Norfolk Counties to train at Battleship Cove in Fall River.

Our team was 1 of 6 from all over the state that spent the day training on Ropes and Confinded Space.

Great opportunity, and a great day of trading was had by all members

Today the team trained at Nickerson State Park working on locating and getting patients out of remote areas.

Todays training consisted of breaching and breaking concrete to gain access to a confined space. After access is established the air gets metered and monitored a recon team is deployed to locate the trapped victim. After locating the victim a second team is deployed to assist in treating, packaging and removal of the patient. The Barnstable County Tech Team trains in all kinds of weather and today was no different the heat and humidity slowed crews but we proceeded until victim was removed and all rescuers were safe.
