CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. April Smith, Barnwell County School District’s 2026 Teacher of the Year and Barnwell Primary School’s Teacher of the Year! She is a dedicated educator and puts students first.

We are also very proud of Barnwell Primary School’s 2026 Support Staff Person of the Year, Mrs. Teresa Sanders. She puts others before herself, is always willing to help, and has a welcoming smile.

Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Sanders go above and beyond to do what is best for students and to support their team and the entire BPS faculty and staff.
