Capstone Community Action

Capstone Community Action We help Vermonters take action to deal with life's challenges.

Mission

Capstone provides comprehensive services to help people achieve economic well-being with dignity and develops partnerships to strengthen Vermont communities. Our commitment is to alleviate the suffering caused by poverty, to work with individuals and families to move out of poverty, and to advocate for economic justice for all Vermonters. Vision

Our vision is a prosperous Vermont communi

ty where everyone has enough healthy food to eat, a stable home, and the support they need to achieve their own goals and dreams. We believe that we can be a model for the rest of the country in how to build strong, sustainable communities that do not leave anyone behind. We believe this vision is possible when we all come together with a common vision for change and each act in our own way to end poverty and create prosperity.

🌱 For 60 years, Capstone Community Action has stood alongside Central Vermonters, helping neighbors meet immediate, basic needs while building a path toward stability.

➡️ As we share this year’s Annual Report, we’re honoring the people who make this work possible. From dedicated staff to the individuals and families we serve, these stories reflect journeys that span moments and decades within our community. They are the foundation of Capstone. They are the bridge between hardship and hope.

💚 Thank you for being part of this shared story. 💚
