Capstone provides comprehensive services to help people achieve economic well-being with dignity and develops partnerships to strengthen Vermont communities. Our commitment is to alleviate the suffering caused by poverty, to work with individuals and families to move out of poverty, and to advocate for economic justice for all Vermonters. Vision

We believe that we can be a model for the rest of the country in how to build strong, sustainable communities that do not leave anyone behind. This year’s Summit is grounded in the newly updated Vermont Community Leadership in Action Guide, which will shape workshops, panels, group discussions, and networking throughout the day. ✨ We are having a fantastic Saturday with long time neighbors, new pals, and everyone in between today!

Pearl Street Pizza 🍕 ( Pearl Street Pizza ) still has plenty of pies to bake for us, the Wilcox 802 bars are frosty, and the music 🎶 is cranked (at just the right level)!

📣 Capstone Head Start is enrolling children and families for this Fall 2026!

🌱 Head Start at Capstone Community Action has multiple openings in Lamoille, Washington, and Orange counties, which provides services for families with young children and pregnant individuals. We also help support you in your next steps in life, the caregiver of the child or pregnant individual, with connections to social, health, housing, food services, and much more.
