An incredible microburst hit downtown this afternoon. It hit 83 North Main (home of Project Independence). Luckily no one was injured. The Barre Fire Department was on the scene in minutes.

5 Year old Gabriel Dejesus spotted the fire last night at Bob's Camera, The owners of Bob's Camera, Subway and William Raveis BCK Real Estate are grateful for his efforts and the efforts of the Barre City Fire Department who were on the scene in about 3 minutes. We are so proud of Barre City 5-year old Gabriel DeJesus. Gabriel spotted the fire at Bob's Camera last night as his family drove by in the car. Thanks to his efforts, a quick response from the Barre City Fire Department and a working sprinkler system, the fire was contained to a small area with relatively little damage.
