From Mayor Thomas Lauzon: It's official and a "go". Barre City Place, LLC met the closing requirements for the new market tax credits this afternoon and the lease with the State of Vermont was signed last Wednesday. An 80,000 square foot, four story addition to Barre City's downtown will break ground in 2013. What a great way to end 2012. Congrats to everyone on the "A Team". Barre Rocks!!!

City Place's application was unanimously approved by the City of Barre's DRB last night!

Tomorrow, Thurs, Sept 27, come to the City of Barre's Development Review Board meeting at 7 pm in City Council Chambers to find out more about City Place and show your support for this important development project in downtown Barre. This is the final step in the permitting process for City Place. If all goes according to plan, ground will break before the end of this year!
