We want to thank Kensington Bank and Coffee 33 for providing a morning treat to all WCA Staff Friday morning, to wrap up a week of welcome back, workshops, and early entrance conferences. Superintendent Koep put a few WCA couples on the spot with trivia, and a $50 gift card for Knotty Pine went to the losing couple.
We also would like to thank keynote speaker and author Ben Rudrud for taking the time to speak to everyone. Ben delivered a heart-driven, fun, motivational message centered around his signature "Ripple and The Power of One" message framework, inspiring kindness, courage, and intentional connection. He challenges and empowers everyone in education, reminding them that a single act of presence or a positive relationship can spark a powerful ripple effect that transforms a student’s life. Blending humor with personal stories—often highlighting how his own football coach changed his trajectory—Rudrud validates the immense hardships students face while uplifting educators to see their work not just as a job, but as a profound opportunity to shape the future by building a culture of empathy and belonging in their classrooms and schools. He also repeatedly reminded all in attendance that they are ROCKSTARS!
